What Sightlume can help with

Important: Sightlume is not a surgeon, clinic, or medical provider. We do not perform exams, diagnose eye problems, recommend a specific surgery for you, or tell you which surgeon you should choose.

What we cannot do

We want to be very clear about our limits.

We cannot:

• tell you whether you are a candidate
• review your eye health or medical history
• say which procedure is best for your eyes
• give medical, surgical, or financial advice
• promise results or safety
• book surgery or approve financing

Only a licensed eye surgeon, after an in-person exam, can tell you whether you may be a candidate and what risks apply in your case.

Results vary from person to person. Every surgery has real risks, including dry eye, glare or halos, under-correction or over-correction, infection, flap problems in LASIK, healing issues, and in rare cases, loss of vision. Some people are not good candidates, and an honest surgeon will say no.

We do not need your medical history, prescriptions, eye measurements, insurance details, or health records. Please do not send private medical details to us.

If you are not sure which procedure to ask about, that is OK. You can simply say you want to learn about laser vision correction or lens surgery in general, and we can point you toward educational information and consultation options.

What happens after you contact us

We try to keep the process simple.

• You reach out and share basic contact details.
• We answer general questions about how matching works.
• If you want, we match you with licensed eye surgeons near your area for a consultation.
• You compare your options, ask questions, and decide whether to book an exam.
• No surgery happens without an exam first.

The matching service is free to you. Participating surgeons pay Sightlume a flat fee to be part of the network. That does not mean you should trust anyone automatically. You should still compare consultations, ask direct questions, and choose carefully.

A consultation is where you can ask about risks, expected recovery, cost, and whether the surgeon thinks you are a good candidate. It is always OK to get more than one opinion. It is also always OK to wait, or to keep glasses or contacts if that feels right for you.

Common questions about cost and consultations

A lot of people contact us because they want a more honest picture of price.

Typical US ranges are often around:

• LASIK: about $2,000-$3,000 per eye
• PRK: about $1,800-$2,800 per eye
• SMILE: about $2,200-$3,200 per eye
• ICL: about $3,000-$5,000 per eye

For both eyes, the total is often roughly double. These are estimates, not quotes. The real cost depends on the procedure, your eyes, the technology used, and where you live. Surgery is rarely covered by insurance.

Before any procedure, ask the surgeon what is included in the price, what follow-up care costs, what happens if you need enhancement treatment, and what risks apply to your eyes specifically.

Before you contact us, a good next step

If you are unsure where to start, write down 3 or 4 simple questions first. For example:

• What procedures might fit my prescription and eye shape?
• What are the real risks and side effects?
• What is the full cost for both eyes?
• How many visits will I need before and after surgery?

Then contact us when you are ready. We can help you understand the process and connect with surgeons for consultations, but we cannot tell you what you personally should do.
